TOUR 1: : Three day Highlands and Speyside Whisky tour:
Let Stravaigin create a customised tour of the distilleries that produce your very favourite single malts and blends while you sit back and enjoy the resplendent picture perfect Highlands and Speyside terrain.
DAY ONE starts in picturesque Pitlochry, home to one of the smallest and most beautiful distilleries, The Edradour Distillery is our first stop. Post tasting, we will take a stroll around Pitlochry, stopping for a filling lunch before we wind our way through some of the highest roads in the Highlands passing dazzling scenery on our way to Braemar and it’s renowned Royal Lochnagar Distillery for a tasting tour. With an overnight stay in hand picked accommodation.
DAY TWO takes us through Speyside itself where you are spoiled for choice with some of the most famous Single Malts in the World. So whether it’s Macallan or Glenfiddich, Glenlivet or The Balvennie, the choice is yours. Aberlour distillery are regarded as one of the very best tutored tour and tastings here in Scotland. With even more Whisky expertise, we head to Dufftown which has SEVEN (yes seven!) distilleries to offer the Whisky connoisseur.
DAY THREE we make our way to the idyllic little town of Tain with a stop off for lunch after a tasting tour at the one and only Glenmorangie Distillery. Stravaigin realises the importance of downtime for our clients, so it’s time for Inverness for some sightseeing or shopping before we head back home. Nearing the end of our time together it’s time to make our way back to Edinburgh but not before we stop off at Scotland’s highest distillery, The Dalwhinnie Distillery for a quick Whisky & Chocolate tasting. As warm as the glow left by the best Whiskies Scotland has to offer, this tour will provide happy memories for years to come.

For you fans of the Whiskies of Islay and Jura, the beauteous drive to scenic Tarbet to catch the ferry to Islay takes in Loch Lomond and The Rest And Be Thankful Mountain Pass. The crossing takes two hours and while you’re taking in the arresting scenery, please keep your eye open for some of the marine life and seabirds found in the sea or around the shores of Islay. Otters, Bottlenose Dolphins, Killer Whales, Puffins, Gannets and Cormorants can be seen along with, in the Summer months, Basking Sharks. Keep that camera handy now!
As soon as we arrive on Islay, we waste no time and head straight to your accommodation and its extensive selection of Islay Single Malts in its cosy wee whisky bar.
